KIMBERLY SODERBERG, MD
Dr. Kimberly Soderberg, a native of Virginia Beach is a Board Certified Dermatologist who specializes in a broad range of diseases of the skin, hair, and nails. She graduated from Floyd E. Kellam High School and later attended The University of Virginia majoring in Biochemistry and pre-medicine studies. Dr. Soderberg obtained her Masters in Human Anatomy and her degree in Medicine at The Medical College of Virginia. During her doctoral studies, she first became interested in the field of Dermatology. She discovered "the skin acts as a window to the body and subtle changes in the skin may indicate deeper medical problems".
Following, an internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Dermatology at the University of Arkansas, Dr. Soderberg joined Oyster Point Dermatology, a dermatology practice on the Peninsula. However, it was always her desire to return to Virginia Beach and offer premier dermatologic care to her hometown, and thus in July 2010, Dr. Soderberg opened Coastal Dermatology.
Dr. Soderberg enjoys seeing patients of all ages. "Very few fields in medicine allow you to see both the very young and the very old. I relish the idea of being someone's doctor throughout their entire life; managing their childhood rash, later the troubling teenage acne, lastly their skin cancer and anti-aging concerns."
Dr. Soderberg specializes in Cosmetic, Medical, and Surgical dermatology. "Wrinkles, sun spots, scars, and sagging may all be addressed making conservative changes with anti-aging creams and simple cosmetic procedures."
Dr. Soderberg enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark, and their two daughters. She also enjoys fishing, golfing, and cooking.
